Terrazza Costantino

In the former medieval village of Sclafani Bagni, the smallest town in the province of Palermo, la Terrazza Costantino was opened in 2016, a gourmet restaurant with only 5 tables and 16 seating places in a furnished room in a rustic style. The restaurant, located opposite the Favara reserve, enjoys a unique 180-degree view over the Madonias, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Chef Giuseppe Costantino, born in Florence but raised in Cefalù, studied alongside important Piedmontese and Ligurian chefs, before returning to his adopted home. The chef's philosophy is to offer cuisine focused on herbs and wild plants as well as island produce, such as cheese, local meats or truffles from the nearby mountains. Even the bread is homemade, and uses the noble Sicilian grain.
The choice of chef was to eliminate from the menu the classic menu and offer customers a one-of-a-kind nine-course "tasting menu", which constantly changes depending on the availability of produce, season after season.
