In Ygrande in the Allier, in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the Château d'Ygrande is a superb Art Deco hotel-restaurant. This magnificent 19th-century building, with 19 comfortable rooms, is surrounded by 40 hectares of grounds overlooking bourbon bocage. Pierre-Marie Tissier is happy to share his passion for horses on the stud. The kitchens are run by chef Cédric Deniaux, awarded 2 toques in the Gault and Millau guide. His work base? Label Rouge products associated with vegetables and herbs grown in the orchard. Outdoor pool, spa, cooking classes, fishing and bicycles are available. Close by, a spa, tennis courts or kayaking complete the palette of your dream holiday.

Bel établissement dans un écrin de verdure mais qui à mon avis est surcoté. Un joli établissement à 3 étoiles mais sans doute pas 4. L'espace spa n'est pas terrible. En revanche un restaurant vraiment très bien.

Le cadre est superbe et nous retenons particulièrement la gentillesse du personnel aussi bien à l'accueil qu'au restaurant. Ce dernier est d'ailleurs divin, nous avons très très bien dîné. Le rapport qualité/prix est bon. Il nous a été possible de faire un massage en duo, prestation très appréciée.
