DESCRIPTION AUBERGE DE CASSAGNE & SPA

In Avignon-Le Pontet in the French Riviera, the Auberge de Cassagne et SPA is a typical 19th-century bastide. Sylvie Boucher welcomes her guests into this charming hotel-restaurant bordered by lush, flower-filled grounds.

With a Michelin plate and two toques in Gault and Millau, the maître d'orchestre is at work behind his stove. Chef Philippe Boucher, who went to school with Paul Bocuse and Georges Blanc, honours his illustrious colleagues. As for André Trestour, master sommelier, his expert advice can be followed with confidence.

The queux master, in turn, offers cookery courses to food lovers. Other activities are abounding, with pools, spa and fitness on site, and golf and horseback riding nearby.

Il n est pas admissible que le maitre d hôtel hurle après ma femme qui a fait l'énorme erreur d entrouvrir la porte du restaurant qui n'ouvrait que 10 mn plus tard......Et comme excuse il dit qu' il pensait que c'était un membre du personnel !!!Quelle considération pour le personnel... A ceci il faut ajouter l erreur à l arrivée "on vous a surclassé ,vous aurez une superbe suite la plus belle chambre de l'hôtel "..Sauf que nous avons été surclassé mais pas pour une suite Surprise à l 'apéritif ; nous avons demandé la spécialité maison et en réalité.. c'était un" Crémant pêche " ..quelle originalité , on trouve cela dans tous les bars de France ; Le prix en revanche était original : 19 euros la petite coupe de Crémant Au départ il a fallu discuter un moment pour que ces apéritifs ne soient pas facturés Dernier point une fois qu' on est à l intérieur de l hôtel l'ambiance est agréable ce qui n'est pas le cas de l'environnement qui est particulièrement laid
